If you had to vote for the Heisman today....

...who would be your choice?

Mark Ingram, RB, Alabama, So.
Toby Gerhart, RB, Stanford, Sr.
C.J. Spiller, RB, Clemson, Sr.
Tim Tebow, QB, Florida, Sr.
Jacquizz Rodgers, RB, Oregon State, So.

Or do you have someone else in mind,

Right now I'd have to go with Ingram. All of the running backs listed above have impressive stats for this season, but Ingram is doing it in the toughest conference. No quarterback is really putting up Heisman numbers this year, that includes Tebow. A lot of the voters will try to give him the award soley because they crowned him the winner before the season started. I like him as a college player, but he is not the best player in college football this year.

After this weeks games, it looks like Stanford's RB Tony Gerhart and Teaxs QB Colt McCoy jump to the head of the class, with a couple of Heisman like performances this past week.

Gerhart's big boy effort in Stanford's, 45-38 win against Notre Dame, was just the type of game he needed to get the attention of voters who were not convinced by the great season he was already having. In a back and forth battle, he was the workhorse for Stanford. 205 yards rushing, 3 TD's,, 1 TD pass.

McCoy, put on a show that made you think back a couple of years to his
Texas predecessor, Vince Young. He was 24 of 40 for 304 yards passing, and if that wasn't impressive enough, he added 18 carries for 175 yards rushing. An awesome performance

Clemson RB, C.J. Spiller, playing against in state rival South Carolina returned the opening kick off for a TD, but was a non-entity for the rest of the game. Just 18 yards on the ground and 19 yards in receptions. The Gamecock defense shut him down.

Much the same for Alabama's Mark Ingram, he was ineffective in their win over rival Aubaurn, just 30 yards rushing and 21 yards receiving.
